City Garden Urban Retreat – Davenport, Stockport

Completed and planted in 2026, the brief for this garden was to create a private urban oasis that would entice the clients and their older teenage children, into using the space more. An important part of the brief was also to ensure that the space, even though being behind a terrace house, and with a neighbours right of way across the garden, was to have places for the family to be together or enjoy the garden in solitude – Sunday snoozing, reading a book or just relaxing. 3 seating areas, including a shady day bed escape, were well used in the heat of the 2026 summer.
